This is always delicious! I usually just boil some fresh lo mein noodles instead of pan frying them. The beef is so tender and flavors!

This was amazing! My whole family loved it!! I had to use rice vinegar because I can’t easily get black vinegar but delicious nonetheless

Not bad, but too much liquid in the sauce. If I redo, will cut to half cup broth.

The recipe does contain quite a bit of cornstarch, and it only takes a few seconds for the sauce to thicken. If the sauce is too thick, the best way is to reduce the cornstarch to 1 1/2 tablespoons. It properly takes a bit longer to thicken the sauce, but it should give you a lighter thinner sauce.

This dish had great flavor, but I somehow my sauce came out “goopy.” Almost like there was too much cornstarch. I followed the recipe exactly and used the same noodles. Any suggestions? Definitely want to try again

Great noodle dish! I used the Wel-PAC Chow Mein Stir Fry noodles. Boiled them for 1 minute, drained, rinsed in cold water. They were just right. Fried nicely. I couldn’t find baby bok choy at our (internationally challenged) grocery store so bought mature bok choy and used that. Worked fine. The slightly crispy noodles make a nice contrast to the other ingredients. Nice change from rice.

So happy to hear you enjoyed the dish and thanks for leaving a positive review! You did made a lot of noodles lol The uncooked vegetables sounds good to me!
For the sauce, adding some chili oil will make it amazing.

I DID IT! Yay for me! Not sure if I did it quite right but I think this recipe is forgiving and allows for rookie substitutions. It turned out well! I basically tripled the recipe because I bought too much meat. It tasted authentic for the most part I’m guessing. It could be spicer and sweeter for me.( but that could be becuz I tripled it) Maybe add chili peppers. Also, maybe top with toasted sesame seeds. I am not a fan of cooked carrots so I used a tool that julienned them. And I don’t prefer large pieces of cooked bok choy so I simply sliced the pieces like celery and it’s perfect. The uncooked noodles are home made egg noodles that are in the refrigerated section of my grocery store. The sauce thickened right up and the meat is tender and noodles taste great to me so I call it a win! Thank you for the recipe! p.s. I also used dry sherry and seasoned rice vinegar. now I need to invite some folks over……its ALOTTTTTTT oops!

It is inside of the recipe card, ingredient list, under the title “sauce”.
