I think you are referring to Hung Tao Yee Wonton soup which apparently only exists mainly in California Bay Area, maybe SoCal too. If you have a recipe for West Lake soup, then you can just deep fry any type of wonton and put them into the soup!

I’ve wondered for years how to make the glossy red barbequed pork, that Chinese restaurants on the west coast all serve, that you dip in catsup, hot mustard, and sesame seeds. I think I’ll try yours but pre-cut in thin slices before marinading.
